Meta has entered the gaming arena with the soft launch of Pocket, an app that lets users generate small interactive apps and games using AI prompts. The software, born from Meta’s acquisition of the vibe-coded gaming platform Gizmo earlier this year, describes itself as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos” - the term for these AI-crafted experiences. It also includes a scrollable feed where you can play with gizmos created by others.

Based on screenshots from Google Play, Pocket bears a striking resemblance to Gizmo’s original app, which is still available. Both offer written AI prompts to build interactive experiences and feature a discovery feed. Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer and serial spotter of new apps, first noticed Pocket’s launch this morning and shared a Play Store screenshot on X. According to Appfigures, Pocket actually debuted on June 29, 2026 on both the App Store and Google Play - though due to its newness, the firm can’t confirm any downloads yet.

Other outlets, including Business Insider and Investing.com, have also reported on Paluzzi’s find. Meta has not responded to requests for comment. Pocket is another step in Meta’s push to mainstream AI creation tools, following AI-generated images via Meta AI and AI videos in its app Vibes. It has also sprinkled AI features across its social platforms and into its video-editing app for creators, Edits.

Given the lack of an official announcement, Pocket appears to still be in its experimental phase. Its counterpart Gizmo, meanwhile, has racked up 635,000 lifetime installs across iOS and Google Play, with a 98% positive sentiment - proof that people really do enjoy making tiny digital things with AI.
