Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information The Good Times (“we”, “the Site”) collects, how we use it, and your rights. Questions at: admin@thegoodtimes.live.
1. Information We Collect
a) Email address
When you subscribe to our newsletter digest we collect your email address and your digest frequency preference (daily or weekly) and language preference. This is the only personally identifiable information we intentionally collect.
b) Server logs & IP addresses
Our server logs standard HTTP request data including your IP address, browser user-agent, and the pages you visit. Logs are retained for a short operational period and used only for debugging and abuse prevention. Vote rate-limiting uses IP addresses transiently and does not persist them long-term.
c) Email engagement
Newsletter emails contain a tracking pixel and per-subscriber unsubscribe tokens. We use these to measure open rates in aggregate and to process unsubscribe requests. We do not share individual open data with third parties.
d) Browser storage
The Site stores the following in your browser - no personal data is involved:
- Cookie
tgt-lang- your chosen interface language. - localStorage
tgt-theme- dark/light theme preference. - localStorage
tgt-layout- grid or list article layout.
These are purely functional and contain no personal identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To process frequency-change and unsubscribe requests.
- To monitor aggregate site health and detect abuse.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with any third party.

DeepSeek AI
Article text is processed by DeepSeek’s API for rewriting and translation. The content sent is public news article text only - no user data is transmitted to DeepSeek.
