Wild Pink have announced a new album, *Still Coming Down*, arriving August 21 via Fire Talk, and they've brought along some friends who apparently weren't busy that week. The album features collaborations with MJ Lenderman, Hand Habits (Meg Duffy), and two of Lenderman's bandmates in the Wind: Landon George and Xandy Chelmis.

The lead single, “Round of Applause at the End of the World,” is about that familiar feeling when the fun has been sucked out of life by constant apprehension - so basically, a Tuesday. The accompanying video, directed by Wes Sterrs, follows a paranoid man stripping his hotel room in search of wires and cameras, which is either a metaphor or just someone who watches too much spy thrillers.

*Still Coming Down* was recorded in a single week with producer Alex Farrar at Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville, North Carolina. That's considerably shorter than the number of trips required for their previous album, 2024’s *Dulling the Horns*, suggesting either extreme efficiency or a very strict deadline.

After the album drops in August, Wild Pink will head to Europe for a September tour, then return to the States for a longer run opening for Shakey Graves. Because nothing says “album release celebration” like being someone else's opening act.
