Walmart’s Onn brand has unleashed a line of budget-friendly Android tablets that, if you buy all six, will still leave you with enough change to buy a coffee - unlike a single iPad Pro, which will leave you contemplating your life choices. As spotted by 9to5Google, the six new tablets ship with Android 16, and all but one cost less than $200.
The little Onn Core 7 is the most affordable at just $97, offering a 7-inch 1040 x 600 IPS LCD display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage (expandable with a microSD card), and up to 10 hours of battery life - assuming you don’t play anything too demanding.
Step up to the Core 8.1 for $138, and you get an 8.1-inch 1524 x 1000 IPS LCD display, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage (also expandable), and up to 15 hours of battery life. The Core 11 for $167 bumps to an 11-inch 1840 x 1280 IPS LCD display, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage with a microSD slot, and up to 17 hours of battery life. For the kids, there are 8-inch and 11-inch tablets for $118 and $136, respectively - because nothing says “parenting win” like a $118 distraction.
The priciest of the bunch is the Onn Pro at $288, which includes a 13.2-inch 2400 x 1600 IPS LCD display, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and an unnamed 2.6GHz MediaTek processor. Unlike the iPad Pro it’s imitating, it also comes with a folio case and a stylus - so you can pretend you’re being productive without the Apple tax.
