Jennifer Finch, the longtime bassist of '90s grunge icons L7, is currently undergoing treatment for brain cancer. According to a press release from the band, "unforeseen complications have required Jennifer to undergo multiple surgeries that have resulted in physical limitations." Because nothing says "rock and roll" like a GoFundMe page to cover medical expenses and at-home care.

"We are all devastated by the news and are surrounding her with love," L7 singer and guitarist Donita Sparks said in a statement, presumably while not touching her own health insurance situation. "Jennifer is family, and we want her to feel the full strength of the community that has loved and supported her for so many years."

L7 made a comeback in 2019 with Scatter the Rats, their first album since 1999's Slap-Happy. The band celebrated their 40th anniversary last year with a special concert at the Belasco in Los Angeles. Finch will not join L7 on the initial North American leg of their Last Hurrah farewell tour (set for fall), but reportedly encouraged the band to go on without her - because nothing says "farewell" like leaving a bandmate behind to battle cancer.
