In a move that will surprise absolutely no one who has ever left their house, Amazon Music announced today it is partnering with live event platform Bandsintown to bring concert listings to its streaming service. Users will now be able to find shows on artists' profile pages and click a "buy ticket" button to purchase through Bandsintown, provided the artists have linked their profiles for the first time to enable event syncing.

Amazon Music will also automatically list events from venues, festivals, and promoters using Bandsintown Pro. Karolina Joynathsing, Director of Business Development at Amazon Music, stated with the requisite corporate enthusiasm that "live music is one of the most powerful ways fans connect with the artists they love," adding that the partnership means fans can discover shows "alongside streaming their music, catching exclusive livestreams, shopping merch, and more, all in one place."

The feature is rolling out now and will be fully available this spring on both iOS and Android apps. Bandsintown, for its part, claims to have more than 700,000 artists, over 65,000 venues and festivals using its Bandsintown Pro product, and more than 100 million registered users, though it conveniently omitted the number of active ones.

This partnership follows a 2023 deal where Bandsintown let artists sell merchandise on Amazon Music. The company is notably late to the concert discovery party: Spotify has been working on it for years, Apple Music teamed up with Ticketmaster in March, and Soundcloud also worked with Ticketmaster last year.
