The Centre for Space Futures (CSF), Novaspace, and SpaceTech Gulf have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to jointly develop a Global Space Capability Mapping and Index Dashboard. Because apparently, in the space ecosystem, everyone has been flying somewhat blind.

The dashboard aims to provide a structured, data-driven view of global space capabilities across key domains, using open-source data and advanced methodologies. The goal is to become a trusted reference for policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers who currently have limited visibility into who holds which capabilities and how to apply them to real-world problems.

Countries or organizations facing challenges like agricultural disease monitoring, climate risks, or infrastructure resilience will be able to identify relevant space-enabled capabilities, see how similar problems were solved, and connect with partners to implement solutions. In other words, it's like a dating app for space capabilities, but with less swiping and more satellite data.

“This initiative is about turning capability into impact,” said Eng. Mishaal Ashemimry, Managing Director of CSF. “We are building a tool that helps decision-makers move from identifying a challenge to finding a proven solution and the right partner to deliver it.”

Carla Filotico, Partner & Managing Director at Novaspace, added: “Understanding and benchmarking national space capabilities is becoming increasingly important for governments, investors, and industry stakeholders navigating a rapidly evolving space economy.”

The collaboration will also produce periodic insights and reports, because what's a dashboard without some white papers to go with it?

The Centre for Space Futures (CSF) is a global, impartial platform established by the Saudi Space Agency and the World Economic Forum. Novaspace is a leading independent consulting and market intelligence firm with over 40 years of experience and offices in Bangalore, Brussels, London, Montreal, Munich, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Toulouse, and Washington, D.C. SpaceTech Gulf is a space market intelligence firm focused on the GCC and wider MENA region.

The MoC establishes a framework for joint work over the coming years, reinforcing international cooperation and supporting a more connected space ecosystem. Because if there's one thing space needs, it's more dashboards.
