Welcome to our live coverage of day two of the second Test between England and Pakistan at Lord's. The morning session has been a tale of two halves: England's tail wagged to add 42 crucial runs, and then the bowlers took over. Pakistan are in trouble at 75-4, with Azan Awais (37) and Mohammad Rizwan (1) at the crease.

Josh Tongue, fresh from his highest Test score, has been unplayable at times, taking 2-27 from his 6 overs. Jofra Archer has been breathing fire, touching 94mph and producing a delivery that had Azan Awais jumping like a frog, much to Joe Root's amusement. Ollie Robinson, the metronome, chimed in with the wicket of Saud Shakeel, who had threatened briefly with 16 off 16 balls before playing around a curling delivery.

Pakistan's reply has been shaky. They lost Shan Masood early to a beauty from Archer, and Babar Azam, yet to make a Test hundred in England, is still there on 8, looking both classy and vulnerable. The hosts have been excellent in the field, with the exception of a dropped chance by Harry Brook at second slip.

We've also had a lively OBO inbox, with readers debating everything from Root's team culture to the merits of 'ill-judged attempts at a joke'. One reader, Ollie Major, took exception to a light-hearted comment, but we stand by our tradition of finding humour in the game.

Stay tuned for the afternoon session, where Pakistan will need to dig deep to avoid another collapse.
