The first round table has come and gone, leaving us with an incredibly frustrating cliffhanger, and now it's time to find out which celebrity gets banished first. After confessing he's a traitor mere minutes after being chosen, surely Richard E Grant is doomed? But that's the delicious part of this game: you never know what twist is coming next. The drama continues Friday with another murder. Tune in at 8pm on BBC One.

Over on Channel 4 at 9:05pm, Richard Ayoade's stagey but convincing disdain for the show he agreed to appear on reaches new heights as he threatens to destroy the entire set. The other contenders aren't faring much better, with Chloe Petts suffering a day of setbacks. No wonder Alex just wants to lie quietly in a box for a while.

At 9:05pm on Channel 5, a stray pekingese needs a new home, Siegfried (Samuel West) gets indignant with a car mechanic, and a trip to help a stuck calf initially seems like standard hand-up-a-cow fare. But it's a whopper! Is it time for the Dales' inaugural bovine caesarean?

BBC One at 9:30pm brings Nigel Planer as a cameo in Lee Mack's easy-going, long-running family sitcom. After seeing a play together, Lee (Mack) and Lucy (Sally Bretton) bump into Nigel in a fancy restaurant. Cue a night of awkward introductions, farcical mix-ups, and a few laughs.

Channel 4 at 10:05pm offers more from the housing crisis comedy, where a couple split up on their first night in London but are stuck in a six-month contract. After Lil's (Lara Ricote) excruciating first rebound date, she and Ben (Samuel Bottomley) head back to Leeds for their mates' baby's christening - the perfect opportunity for Lil to find the woman with whom Ben cheated on her.

Finally, Sky One at 11pm presents an efficient double bill to conclude season two of The Office spin-off. Editor Ned (Domhnall Gleeson) is still trying to land his haymaker investigative piece, but should he and reporter Mare (Chelsea Frei) prioritise love over journalism? The finale has a nice amount of weakness for open-hearted emotion.
