Good news for iPhone owners who have ever lost their keys, their bag, or their will to live searching for either: Apple's second-generation AirTags are back down to their best price ever. Both Amazon and Target are selling a four-pack for $89, which is $10 off the usual $99 and matches the bundle's all-time low. And if you're a Costco member, they're sweetening the pot by throwing in a fifth AirTag for free. Because apparently, four lost items just wasn't enough.

The new AirTags are still the gold standard for Bluetooth trackers that tap into Apple's Find My network, and they've got a shiny new ultra wideband (UWB) chip to prove it. This powers enhanced Precision Finding, which uses on-screen arrows and distance indicators in the Find My app to guide you directly to your misplaced item - like a treasure hunt, but with less rum and more anxiety. The upgraded chip and extended Bluetooth range also make the tags faster and more reliable to locate, even in multistory homes where your keys are apparently playing hide-and-seek on a different floor. And if you have an Apple Watch Series 9 or later, you can use Precision Finding right on your wrist, because why should your phone have all the fun? If all else fails, the built-in speaker is noticeably louder than before, so at least you can play a frustrating game of hot and cold.

The second-generation AirTags also come with features that are particularly handy for summer travel. AirTag sharing lets up to five people track the same item - perfect for family vacations where everyone blames everyone else for losing the luggage. And Apple's Share Item Location lets you temporarily share an AirTag's location with participating airlines, including United, Delta, and American Airlines. So if your bag decides to go on its own adventure, you can at least point the airline in the right direction. Of course, it's still a shame Apple didn't bother to include a built-in lanyard hole, so you'll need to buy a separate loop or holder if you want to attach it to anything. But the tracker does use a replaceable CR2032 battery, so you won't have to toss the whole device when it eventually runs out of juice. And at $89 for a four-pack, it's a little easier on your wallet today - which is good, because you'll probably need to buy a few extra accessories anyway.
