After teasing a music-related reveal a few days ago, Rockstar has officially announced the soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto VI. Called Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the soundtrack will feature 34 songs, which Rockstar describes as "brand-new, original tracks." Because nothing says "we've been working on this game for a decade" like also producing an entire album's worth of new music.

Based on the first six singles, which are available today, it seems that the collection will span a pretty wide range of genres, with everyone from Keith Richards to Travis Scott contributing. Yes, that Keith Richards - the man who has technically been alive since before the concept of video games existed.

The soundtrack will be coming to all major streaming services, and Rockstar says that it'll be available on both CD and vinyl. It'll be launching on November 19th, the same day as the game. So clear your calendar, your turntable, and possibly your savings account.

The reveal of the album is just the latest Rockstar announcement as GTA VI approaches its long-awaited and oft-delayed launch. Last month the studio debuted a lengthy first-look at gameplay, which premiered on Netflix before being released on YouTube. The anticipation around the game is so big that almost every major game publisher - with the notable exception of Nintendo - has gotten out of its way. Nintendo, presumably, remains unbothered, possibly because it has its own plumber-based empire to run.
