Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will feature the series' "biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet," which is a bold claim for a franchise that once let you listen to a man named Lazlow complain about his mother for hours.

The game will include at least six radio stations, playable in vehicles or on foot: Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM, and Dirty South Classics. The lineup spans talk radio to classic rock, presumably so you can flip past a call-in show about fictional politics before settling on a song you'll hear forty times.

You can sample the stations on Rockstar's website, alongside six singles from GTA VI's official soundtrack, which was announced earlier this month and features artists like Yung Lean and Travis Scott.

But wait, there's more. Rockstar says "for the first time ever, Grand Theft Auto VI introduces a series of on-demand podcasts." So players can listen to fictional podcasters give fictional takes on fictional events while driving fictional cars around Leonida - a fictional Florida - which is either immersive world-building or a grim premonition of the media landscape.

It's another signal of the level of realism Rockstar is aiming for. Netflix's extended preview of GTA VI also showed a mechanic for holding hands and police NPCs who remember what you look like. A recent leak, meanwhile, revealed much more, uh, personal details for the two main characters.

Grand Theft Auto VI is available for preorder now and launches November 19th.
