Catherine, the Princess of Wales, has completed the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, describing it as a "chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back." She climbed Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland, and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in Wales over a single weekend, raising funds for holistic cancer care. The princess revealed her cancer treatment in 2024 and said she was in remission at the start of 2025.

"Cancer doesn't just affect the body," she wrote on social media alongside a summit selfie. "It changes how you think and feel and profoundly affects every aspect of life. I know this personally, and that the journey through and beyond treatment requires more than medicine alone." She emphasized the importance of holistic healthcare, which the Royal Marsden Hospital defines as "supporting the whole person - integrating physical, emotional, spiritual and social wellbeing alongside clinical care."

At the finish line in Wales, she was met by her husband Prince William, their three children (George, Charlotte, and Louis), her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and her brother James. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity launched a fundraising page for the walk, with CEO Dame Cally Palmer saying they were "honoured" to have the couple as joint patrons. The princess's diagnosis was described as a "huge shock," and while details of her cancer were not disclosed, Kensington Palace expressed confidence in a full recovery.
